As a father, husband and son, I understand the challenges that hardworking families face every day. I am a blue-collar worker who puts on my boots every day, just like many of the voters in our district. I never imagined I would run for office, but after years of nobody listening to the concerns of the middle and lower class, I decided to take action. I am committed to fighting for our community and ensuring that everyone's voice is heard.

 LIST OF ISSUES

Inflation. As a candidate for NC House District 55, I am dedicated to improving the lives of my constituents. One of my top priorities is addressing inflation through cutting taxes, suspending gas taxes, and reducing unnecessary regulations. I believe that by increasing the housing supply and getting people back to work, we can create a stronger and more resilient economy for everyone.
Crime. Another of my top priority's is to provide law enforcement with the resources they need to investigate crimes, make arrests, and secure convictions. We need to ensure that our communities are safe and protected. We can work together to make sure that our law enforcement officers have the tools and support they need to do their jobs effectively and in a safe manor for our community.
Healthcare. I will focus on improving the affordability of healthcare for everyone, seniors included. I believe that we need to take serious action to reduce out of pocket costs for Medicare Part B. I would also like to see private insurance spread their costs more broadly and provide affordable coverage for individuals when they are sick. We need to pass more savings onto the patients to ensure that healthcare is a realistic option for all North Carolinians.
Education. Supporting education is of the utmost importance. We have the power to make a meaningful impact by emphasizing the teaching of foundational skills such as reading: writing, math, science, and history! These skills form the building blocks for our children's academic and personal growth. We must ensure that parents are involved in their children's education and that our teachers are empowered to succeed. To this end, we can provide resources such as smaller class sizes, high-quality teaching materials, and competitive salaries, among other things. Moreover, our administrators must be engaged and accountable for the success of their schools, promoting an atmosphere of responsibility and collaboration among students, staff, and parents. By working together, we can create a dynamic and effective learning environment that prioritizes the education and growth of our children. Let's get excited about the future of education and the positive impact we can make on the lives of our students!
Lack of Business Growth. Bolstering the job market with the possibility of partnering with state economic development programs, business tax incentives research initiatives, and parks. These resources can offer invaluable support in cultivating a business-friendly environment to the community and assist them in flourishing. By leveraging these tools, we can contribute to bringing more opportunities and prosperity. Let us collaborate to make your area a more appealing destination for businesses and job seekers alike.
